The fourth annual Suvudu Cage-Match is here! This March Madness-style original fiction tournament begins on March 10, and will feature five weeks of matches, resulting in one triumphant winner, selected by fans. The theme of Cage Match 2014 is “Page Versus Screen.” The rounds lead up to a final confrontation between a character from the literary side of SFF, and one from TV or movies.

This year’s cage match participants include:

- Michael Hughes, author of Blackwater Lights
- Cleve Lamison, author of Full-Blood Half-Breed

- Mark Onspaugh, author of The Faceless One
- Scott Sigler, author of Pandemic
- Peter Stenson, author of Fiend
Cage Match invites authors to create fictional battles for iconic characters, sharing their idea for how the fight would play out. At the conclusion of each match, readers give their characters a thumbs up or down, which leads to plenty of debate in the comments! Characters featured in Cage Match 2014 include Katniss Everdeen against Trillian, Arya Stark against Rick Deckard, and more.
